My Dogs

Maybe you are curious about my dogs; how I raised them, what they are like and what they do etc.

They are my well-loved dogs. I have not spoiled them but given them what they need: structure, good food, health care, balanced training and daily exercise, understanding and of course a lot of love.

Their training, obedience, tricks and other fun has been integrated into their daily lives without having earned any official obedience titles but they are my champions in living with us in harmony.

Danja (born in 2013) is a spayed female German Shepherd out of working lines; mainly bred for tough work like law enforcement, personal protection etc. However, she is not employed in these fields and lives her life as my active pet dog. This explains her intensity, her play and prey drive. She is extremely loyal and her goal in life is to be with me, without a thread of separation anxiety or fear of any kind. She is the poster "child" of stable genetics and health and a serious worker. These working line German Shepherds require 100% consistency, lots work (play), exercise, a strong bond with their owner but also being able to be calm in the house. Now this has been established and is being maintained, the bond with her is out of this world.

Bowie (born in 2020) is a male English Shepherd. This breed originates from the old style English Farm Dog, bred to herd sheep, cows, etc., but also to take care of vermin, announce danger, and be an independent thinker; being able to make his own decisions. Because of this trait he doesn't take no for an answer easily and I have to make a good case for complying. He is witty, full of creative ideas and expressive with a strong but sweet personality. He loves activity but is calm in the house. He makes me laugh every day.
